Choose a song of your choice OR one of the following contemporary songs that relate to a theme(s) in Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." Read the lyrics and or listen to the song to determine how the song is relevant to the play. The following songs you may choose from are: No One, by Alicia Keys; My All, by Mariah Carey; Scream, by Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson. Click on the photos below for lyrics by the artist. Once you have viewed the song of your choice, write a 1-page response explaining how the song connects to the play; which character(s) would be most appropriate to sing this song and to whom; theme similarities, etc.
